THE ICON COLLECTION

This is part of a ongoing collection of paintings that I have been working on for a little while now.

The original idea came about twenty years ago sitting at the hairdressers reading a cosmo an article titled "isn't it time we let icons be icons?" and that phrase has lived rent free in my head all this time.

Framed prints

A alterative to the large original paintings are these framed prints which can be done unto A2 in size and framed in black or white and a clean crisp mount surround.

I'm currently working on a set of limited edition hand embellished prints that will be super affordable but still exclusive and unique .

Canvas vs Board

Some of my work is done on canvas and some are primed mdf boards.

The canvas ones are super easy to hang and light but can get damaged.

The boards are heavier and a bit more difficult to hang but are really robust.

I always supply heavy duty z-hangers with all my paintings so its straightforward and safe to put them up

HOW

Here is a little peak into the early drawing that formed the basis of the Marvin Gaye portrait.

That gorgeous colour is Williamsburg transparent red iron oxide and it's my absolute fav and makes its way into most of my paintings.
