Thunderhead was a book i read as a teenager, about big headed white colt named Thunderhead who was wilful and hard to like, his head was too big for his body and he bit.
The horse in this painting isnt white but is running out of chaos and the whole time i was painting it , i thought i must reread Thunderhead. I never did true enough but its on my to do list.
